How water harvesting through ‘jhola kundis’ is doubling incomes of tribal farmers in Koraput

Between 2021 and 2024, 60 jhola kundis (shallow wells) have been constructed in 52 villages of Odisha's Koraput district. They meet the irrigation needs of 205 vegetable growers, who can now cultivate crops throughout the year and at much lower costs
